Triumph Cancer Foundation provides fitness-based programs to cancer survivors in the Sacramento-Metro Area. Their signature program, Triumph Fitness, is a 12-week program designed specifically to help survivors recover after treatment. Triumph provides this program at no cost to the survivor. Cancer treatment strips away strength, stamina and confidence. Through the dedicated team of instructors at Triumph Cancer Foundation, guidance is provided to participants to educate them on proper technique and form while slowly rebuilding confidence along with strength. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Foundation has modified the format of Triumph Fitness to be a virtual home-based program, still enabling participants to exercise with their fellow survivors while being coached by Triumph Instructors. Classes are offered on a trimester basis in a small group format. Adult cancer survivors who are no more than 18 months out of treatment are eligible to participate if they meet the Foundation’s criteria and receive their physician’s consent.
